The Tudor family consists of many complicated relations, but was able to stay in power for over 100 years. There were six other rulers in the family in relation to Mary. Those who ruled before her were Henry VII (Grandfather), Henry VIII (Father), Edward VI (half brother), and Lady Jane Grey (First cousin once removed), and those who ruled after her were Elizabeth I (half sister), and Mary Queen of Scots (First cousin once removed). The Tudors had a family crest, which was red and white, with yellow tassels located at the bottom by the family name. A side-profile head shot of three knights are located on the red shield, and a pattern of dots and arrows form an arched shape across the shield, underneath two of the knight heads. Above the shield there resembles a sword hilt-like shape with three white feathers branching out of the top. Mirrored on each side is a pattern similar to a damask style. The Tudor family also had a traditional floral heraldic emblem known as the Tudor Rose.
